The Israeli Defense Forces claims 11% of rockets launched by the terrorist organizations towards Israel since 7 October fell within Gaza.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has captured Hamas internal reports that revealing a pattern of concealing casualties and blaming Israel for failed rocket launches. These documents, said IDF spokesperson Avichai Adraee, illustrate Hamas's deliberate efforts to manipulate information, particularly regarding casualties and rocket attacks from Gaza.

Adraee disclosed that the documents, dating back to 2020 and Operation Breaking Dawn in 2022, originate from Hamas's al-Qassam Brigades and bear the signatures of high-ranking members of the terrorist group.

They expose Hamas's strategy of concealing the true cause of Gazan casualties resulting from failed rocket launches. Instead of acknowledging responsibility, Hamas preferred to attribute these casualties to Israeli airstrikes, aiming to shape public opinion and gain sympathy.

Furthermore, the documents shed light on Hamas's collaboration with other terrorist factions in Gaza, notably the al-Quds Brigades of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). Despite urging the PIJ to take responsibility for failed rocket launches and hide their consequences to maintain the image of resistance, Hamas failed to prevent rocket launches near civilian areas, demonstrating its disregard for Gazan citizens' safety, the spokesman stated.

Adraee emphasized that these revelations expose the extent of Hamas's control over militant factions in Gaza, dispelling the notion of autonomous actions by "unruly factions." Instead, Hamas emerges as the architect of a coordinated effort to manipulate information and perpetuate falsehoods, Adraee emphasized.

He urged the international community to recognize Hamas's deceptive practices and stop blaming Israel for all civilian deaths in Gaza.

The IDF did not disclose the number of rocket launches from Gaza on Israeli targets.

Moreover, the IDF has acquired testimonies from Hamas operatives revealing that the tragic fatalities among Palestinians during the Gaza aid truck incident in late February were primarily due to overcrowding. This contradicts Hamas's assertions that the deaths resulted from IDF gunfire.

The Israeli authorities are currently considering whether to disclose these testimonies to the public, without revealing the identities of their sources.

The Gaza Health Ministry, under Hamas control, documented that the catastrophe on 29 February 2024, led to the loss of at least 118 Palestinian lives and injuries to around 760 individuals.

An IDF investigation, released about a week after the incident, concluded that the majority of fatalities stemmed from a massive crowd surge that overwhelmed and assaulted the aid trucks on Rashid Street in Gaza, triggering a stampede.

Hamas, however, dismissed the findings of the investigation.

According to the IDF inquiry presented by Southern Command commander Maj. Gen. Yaron Finkelman to the chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, roughly 12,000 Gazans forcibly surrounded the trucks en route to distribution centers, resulting in widespread looting.

Neither Hamas nor other militant groups commented on the revelations of the Israeli military.

The published reports, which are attributed to Hamas, cannot be verified at the moment.
