Former Wagner leader used JPMorgan Chase and HSBC for payment processing

Prigozhin is an example how Western sanctions can be circumvented.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, a Russian warlord who was killed in a helicopter crash in August 2023, used two American banks - JPMorgan Chase and HSBC – to process payments for his business operations in Africa, in spite of being under heavy Western sanctions.
