[video] Georgia’s president says parliamentary elections were rigged, calls for nationwide protests


She accused Russia of hybrid operation to keep control of her country.

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili announced the next day after the 26 October parliamentary elections, which the ruling party Georgian Dream claims to have won, that she would not recognize the officially-backed outcome.

She described the parliamentary elections as rigged and unfair, part of Russia’s hybrid “special operation” aimed at maintaining control over this Caucasian nation.

Zurabishvili called for nationwide street protests starting on 28 October at 7 p.m. in order to force the pro-Moscow Georgian Dream party back to the democratic norms.
