A military aircraft accidentally dropped a 250-kilogram bomb on a school in the village of Bykovka of the Belgorod region on 19 November at around 6 p.m. The device penetrated the roof of the school, which is located 45 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, but did not explode, according to two local Telegram channels, Pepel and Astra.
The bomb, identified only as a UMPB (Universal Modular Glide Bomb), "inadvertently detached" and broke through the roof of the three-story school building and got jammed in one of the classrooms, emergency services confirmed, pointing out that no one was killed during or after the incident.
