The former U.S. president who is the official Republican party nominee for another term in the White House has just released another “pearl” out of his mouth.
Speaking to a rally near Dayton on 16 March in support of Senate candidate Bernie Moreno, Donald Trump stated literally:
“If I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath ... It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. […] “If this election isn’t won, I’m not sure that you’ll ever have another election in this country.”
After videos of Trump’s “bloodbath” statement went viral on social media, the campaign of President Joe Biden, the Democratic nominee, called Trump a “loser” at the 2020 election who "doubles down on his threats of political violence."
"He wants another January 6 but the American people are going to give him another electoral defeat this November because they continue to reject his extremism, his affection for violence, and his thirst for revenge," the campaign said in reference to the 2021 attack on the Capitol.
Trump’s statement follows his earlier warnings of winding down American military support for the European allies, reducing financial and military contributions to NATO and Ukraine, letting Russian dictator Vladimir Putin attack Europe, and many more.
He is also known for confusing events and people, claiming that he defeated Barack Obama in 2020, or that the latter lost the election to Joe Biden.
This week, Trump’s former Vice President Mike Pence described Trump as an authoritarian ruler he demanded him to choose between loyalty to the leader and the constitution.
“I chose the constitution,” said Pence who called on his supporters “to not vote for Trump.”
